
Nordstrom Recalls Girls’ Shoes Made in China

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Tuesday the voluntary recall of about 31,000 pairs of store-brand girls’ shoes sold at Nordstrom due to lead violations.The shoes, which were made in China and sold between September 2006 and February 2009, defy new federal standards for lead paint in children’s shoes. Six styles were named in the recall, all in girls’ sizes 10 through big-kids 7 and sold for about $35 to $45. Consumers have been instructed to return the shoes to any Nordstrom store for a full refund or exchange.
